We all wanna be in the IT crowd

Okay, so I'm going to merge 2 things into one here. Ones a rant and the other is a lovely bit of writing on the IT crowd. (The rants about chavs, hence the title) So it's a mixture between ranting about wanting to be in the 'IT' crowd at school and me bumming the IT crowd Telly show!
I'll start with the lovely bit first okay! I am a huge IT crowd fan. I love it! I love Moss, I love Roy, I love Jen and I love Richmond! But I have to say, it's a shame to see it come to an end, truly is, it's funny and I love Roy's little catchphrase 'have you tried turning it on and off again?' It never gets old!
All the episodes of the IT crowd are hilarious! I love that chemistry between Richard Ayoade and Chris O'dowd, they're like brothers and Katherine Parkinson is like their mother or babysitter who seems to keep the boys in order and is sometimes ashamed of them!
My favourite IT crowd episode has to be the dinner party. Not only has it got Richmond in it, but the Episode itself is so funny! Dolly Wells A.K.A Miss Dolly as I call her, features in this episode as model Paula who just recently had a car accident. I really recommend this episode for anyone who considers watching the IT crowd because it's just so funny!
I'll explain the characters a little bit more now. Moss is the geeky one who seems to google everything to get a correct answer. In one episode he goes on countdown and later on gets challenged by a member of club 8+ (a countdown club Moss gets into) called Negative one. Roy is the lazy one who seems to love computer games and when Jen first arrives in the IT department, Roy doesn't like it, but she soon grows on him. He likes to lay back and do nothing but take calls and tell people to turn their computer off and on again! He's pretty funny!
Jen is the uptight, friendly one, she's very organised and in demand with everything. She's not really a computer geek though so Roy has to help her learn about computers and lastly Richmond, the goth, he's not really liked by Moss and Roy so they keep him behind this red door. The only reason he's been put down there is because he insulted his boss at his fathers funeral, by accident of course! He used to be really high up in the Reynholms Industries until he became a goth.
My twitter followers seem to love the show too! @Nell_Avenal says 'I love it especially cause first I saw Noely there, in the dinner at Jens house' @MarryLaNuit says 'It's a great comedy show and Noels just the icing on the cake!' and @Reeya27 says 'It's one of the funniest shows I've seen. It's just fantastic' I agree! It is fantasic.

Anyway onward with the ranting. So I know this has nothing to do with the IT crowd- TV show, this is to do with the 'IT' crowd at school and by 'IT' I don't mean I.T. I mean them prissy girly girls who go around looking bright orange, wearing their skirts as belts and backcombing their hair so bad, it almost looks as if they've been dragged threw a hedge backwards by a hedgehog, you all know the girls I'm on about right? Good, great, fantastic, moving on.
Is there any need to talk so fucking loud that Australia, the other side of the world can hear you?! No one really cares if you've 'chipped a nail' or 'Jake won't go out with you' is there any bloody wonder why he won't date you?! Seriously, do any of you people care? Cause I sure as hell don't. I have my own problems to worry about without you causing me a headache because you and your girlfriends are screaming down the corridors with your pauls boutique bags and Jackets!
Another thing as well, is it necessary to make your face so fucking bright it almost blinds everyone who's walking past you! If I wanted to see an annoying, talking satsuma I'd watch the annoying orange on youtube, no boy will ever want to date you if you look like him are they?! Get a clue, a little make up, that's fine, but making yourself look as if you banged a pack of crayola, that's just wrong.
Get a face wipe and stop caking your faces up! You wonder why you have so many spots?! Then you get those people who you thought were your friends changing all of a sudden to be in this 'IT' crowd for the popularity. It's annoying! The people in the 'IT' crowd aren't the kind of friend ANYONE wants to have! They're rude little bitches who get laid by lads who carry around chlamydia and crabs. It's disgusting.

Anyway yeah, that's been my review on the IT crowd and my rant on the 'IT' girls you see in EVERY school across the country. I hope you enjoyed reading it because I enjoyed writing it. Goodnight.

Reality TV shows- GET SOME NEW IDEAS!

Okay, so everyone enjoys watching the tellybox every now and then, but have you ever picked up a remote and examined each program that you've watched and compared them to other shows? Let me explain myself, you've heard of the shows The only way is Essex and Geordie Shore haven't you? Who hasn't?! Anyway if you watch them both they're the same program just in different areas and with different people. All they show us is what people are like in them places! Talking satsumas who's vaginas are open 24/7 to chavy lads who need to show more respect.
People say that they want to see real people on the TV but they only want to see real people so they can criticize them and make themselves feel better about their life because people aren't laughing about you or talking about your antics because they're too busy gossiping about a TV show. TV is boring now, you get the occasional good show but they're drowned out by the dull reality shows that TV executives put on our TV because that's what people want.
When people get what they want, all these reality shows on the TV, all they do is complain about how there's too many reality shows on TV. I have one thing to say to them people STOP REQUESTING THEM! Honestly in my opinion I think we need more comedy shows on the TV, not sitcoms based in a house or a workplace, but sketch shows. We need more comedy in this world and people need a sense of humor.
We're in bad times right now, with the ressession going on, we don't need reality shows of people getting drunk and trying to impress people who are watching the show, because they want to be known and they want to be liked by everyone, but honestly the majority of the population want to punch them in the face.
Big brother, don't get me started on big brother, I mean, people who are famous from big brother shouldn't be famous at all. They don't deserve to be famous, they applied for a TV show, if I applied for a show, let's say Jim'll fix it was still on TV (R.I.P Jimmy Saville) and I applied, I wouldn't be in the magazines or anything, so why are they in the news?!
It just doesn't make sense, we need comedy shows on TV, something new, something bright! We need something which will make us forget, even for just half an hour, about the dark times our country's in. Geordie Shore, TOWIE, Big Brother, is this what our society is coming to? Watching normal people like ourselves make fools of themselves because we can laugh at them and forget about our own pathetic lives by judging someone who gets hammered on TV to become popular?!

Noel Fielding's scribbling's of a Madcap Shambleton review

Noel Fielding's scribbling's of a madcap shambleton is to be specific a surreal art book full of his art from the past 5 or so years according to Noel. The book is full of drawings and paintings he's done, most of them have a story behind them which of course Noel tells us about. He also has a lot of drawings of Luxury Comedy characters in his book- SGT Boombox for example.
There are also little chapter things in the book one of them is called 'Bryan Ferry VS the Jellyfox' another is called 'These people are stupid' and my personal favourite is one dedicated to Elvis Presley called 'a liquid flask of Elvis'. In the middle of the book he's got a page full of fans who sent TVO their picture to be part of Noels tiny children which is really cute in my opinion and if you are one of his tiny children, congratuwelldone!
In the front of the book Dexter Dalwood, Noels first fine art teacher has wrote a couple of words about Noel and Noel also introduced himself. He says that he was a shy child and that art helped him break the shy mold and that this book was his way of combining comedy and art together!
In all honesty my favourite painting would have to be, by far, 'Love stick' if you don't know which painting I am on about it is page 214-215 in scribbling's of a madcap shambleton. Dave Brown, Noel Fielding's best friend from university and Bollo in the mighty boosh done the majority of the photography for the book and put the book together for Noel!
On twitter @AlineTweets91 says 'It's visually, overwhelmingly stunning. Everything fits together perfectly. It's only fault is that there's a last page' agreed! I never wanted the book to end! It was so colourful. @TabbyCatxoxo says 'I really liked it, t'was a unique insight into his mind. Although it was nearly taken off me cause some parts are rude' Agreed, a few pages are VERY rude and may require parental consent so if you are going to buy this book and are under 14 years of age, you may need to ask a parent to buy you it and @Nell_Avenal says 'to be honest, I didn't read it all, but my heart hurts, he's so happy and I didn't do it cause my heart hurts'
So there you go, good reviews all round and if you're like me and are lucky to have it signed, or be one of his tiny children, treasure it! If you don't have your copy of scribbling's it's available in waterstones right now for £10 (UK readers only) if you are outside the UK you can always go to Amazon where there will defiantly be some copies available. Get yours today!

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy- Mash Potato Utopia!

In this episode of Luxury Comedy all your favourites return! That's right, Sgt Raymond Boombox, Daddy push and Dondylion are back, with Roy Circles and Ice cream eyes. No Fantasy man, Dolly or Andy Warhol though, but some new characters have been thrown into the mix and this week Noels mixed it up a bit, with Sgt
Boombox in a scene with Noel and the new french Character Ian Guage!
This week Noel is tortured by a dolphin bomber, Raymond Boombox tells us about the singing fishfinger- single baked bean, what could it mean? Secret Peter tells us where Alan Hansen has been hiding, Dondylion befriends a monkey named Ravi who writes a postcard for Dondylion's mum, City gent blames ice cream eyes again- oh ice cream eyes. The Audience and Doo Rag make mash potato revolvers and sing about mash potato eurovision, Roy Circles tells us about the time he worked in south Africa, Ian Guage sings for us in french the words 'do you love me' and a slice of toast replies 'non' He also cried chocolate tears and Daddy Push finds a remote control car.
A LOT happens in this episode, but I will admit, this is my favourite ep so far! So much happens in one half an hour slot and it's amazing! You get to meet Secret Peter a lot more and this episode is so hard to explain, there's just so much that happens! Dondylion is fantastic, Sgt Boombox is fantastic and Noel get's threatened by a squirrel what more could you ask for on a Thursday night?!
I do miss Dolly and Andy Warhol in this episode though, but overall this episode is pretty funny! My favourite character- The Gash is back with Sgt Boombox which made me and a lot of other viewers happy! The Gash for those who don't know who he is, it the Sgt's knife wound who insults him.
If I had to rate this episode out of 5, I'd give this episode a 6! Zacky Purple on facebook says Luxury Comedy is 'Quite strange but very funny' which is true, @Fleurnoire11 on twitter said 'It played havoc with my senses with all the fresh madness and that's exactly why I loved it' and @SttopidarseJess says 'It was crazy this week. I loved the fast pace and although I missed Dolly and Andy, I loved the mix of characters! <3 Dondylion'
This episode was the most surreal episode yet, it's hard to put it into words, personally I blame ice cream eyes, but you should go watch it for yourself! If you haven't seen it yet and wish to see it click here to go to 4OD (UK readers only) and hopefully NickFromFulham has uploaded the new episode of Luxury Comedy on his youtube channel for all you international viewers!

The Jellyfox Meets the Fieldmouse

So I needed something interesting to write so I thought I'd tell you lovely readers about the time I met Noel Fielding. It was in October- October 15th to be exact and it was in Bonny Scotland (Sconny Botland as I call it). I had won 2 wristbands from the TVO competition which they held for the signing- he was promoting his new book 'The Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton' and he'd decided to come do a signing in Edinburgh.
I was with my friend, Effy, and we'd woken up at 5am to get ready for a 2 hour train journey at 7! I was wearing grey skinnies, my knee high trainers, my pokemon top, a FAKE fur coat and a FAKE fur hat. I had also drawn whiskers on my face as well.
Me and Effy befriended 2 scottish girls, Rachael and Kerry who we stood at the front of the queue with, yes we were at the front and they'd told us they'd been waiting since 11pm! Anyway the doors of Urban Outfitters (where the signing was) opened at 11am and me and Effy got placed on the stairs, fairly near the front of the signing desk of which Noel will be sat at after he painted the window.
Me and Effy also got given a copy of Scribblings for winning the TVO comp which was amazing! Anyway at around quarter past 12 Noel and Dave emerged from the lower floor of the high street shop and EVERYONE screamed with delight! Noel was wearing his bright yellow 'I <3 art' onsie as seen in episode 2 of Luxury Comedy! Noel said 'I feel like a giant tellytubby' which made us giggle
He painted what I think was him and Dave attached to a plant pot, and then lot's of little boosh skeleton things at the bottom of the window, it looked like this.

Isn't it amazing?! I thought so when I saw it! Anyway once Noel and Dave had completed this amazing painting they left so Noel could clean up and have something to eat, everyone was beginning to become impatient until we heard a cheer from the people at the top of the stairs and the signing had began! By the time me and Effy had got to meeting Noel my eyes were streaming and I couldn't breathe! Noel even sat me in his chair to help me calm down which made me VERY happy indeed!
After I had calmed down I'd shown Noel my drawing iof 'Paul the Flamingo Horse' which he LOVED and I proposed to him with a bounty, he said yes of course. I recall him saying that I looked like a gone wrong huskey and that he thought I was cute and had an amazing fashion sense! Dave was really kind too! He gave out haribos to everyone and was geniunely nice to me when I was having my panic attack!
We also got a photo with Noel, we got told off for standing behind the desk and as I stood next to Noel I felt his warm breath against my neck as he whispered 'You broke the rules, but I don't mind, you're lovely' and so here is the photo

Me, Effy and Noel! (He wore that top on the episode of buzzcocks when they painted their faces;))

Boosh tour rumor- Denied

So I asked the TVO team about the boosh tour and I can confirm that it is NOT going to happen, I did NOT say anywhere in my previous post that the boosh tour was a go. Rumors were spread and I did say for people NOT to go get their hopes up, so sorry for the disappointment but there is no boosh tour.
I did say Noel would be busy with his second series of Luxury Comedy and Julian is busy doing some theartical work, the boosh film won't be coming out for a good few years either.
For now enjoy Luxury Comedy, or if you're not a fan of that, rewatch the Mighty Boosh.
Much Love

Boosh tour rumors... Hmmm

Okay, so lately I've heard a fair few rumors of The Mighty Boosh, that they may be touring again, this being said, Noel also has to work on the 2nd series of Luxury Comedy, unless he puts it off for a little while, but then again why would he because he's LITERALLY just started the series and it's got a lot of good reviews, some bad, but mainly good reviews- especially from me!
Anyway on with this: The Mighty Boosh touring again would be MAGNIFICENT for Boosh and Luxury Comedy fans and I would NOT be unhappy about this, but I just don't think Noel should push himself into doing lot's of things at once like writing a boosh show whilst filming luxury comedy and rehearsing the show at the same time! He'll just make himself stressed (I know it's not my concern but I'm still concerned.)
If the tour IS going to happen- don't get your hopes up until TVO confirm it guys- it's rumored to start late 2012/early2013 and I'm sure Noel or Julian or TVO will announce it to us, until then guys, DON'T get your hopes up and DON'T pester Noel, Ju or TVO because that's just mean.
If the tour goes on, I'll let you know, but for now, I give you my love.

The Mighty Boosh live- review

The Mighty Boosh live was the first tour they'd done in a long time, before the T.V show they used to preform on stage all the time doing stuff like 'Arctic Boosh' but this time the audience and the fanbase had grown so they were preforming in front of large amounts of people in huge arenas.
The main story in The Mighty Boosh live is called 'The Ruby of Kokundo' basically, Naboo the enigma (Mike Fielding) has been killed by a cockney geezer called The Hitcher (Noel Fielding) meaning that Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) and Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) who are close friends with Naboo, have to go searching for this Ruby of Kokundo as it's the only way they can save their friend.
Bollo (Dave Brown) Naboos familiar tells Vince and Howard they could find the Ruby in Spain or the Arctic Tundra so Howard ventures to the Arctic whilst Vince explores Spain. Someone tells Vince that to find the ruby of Kokundo he has to go see Rudy Van DiSarzio (Julian Barratt) who lives deep in the forest of doom and when he meets Rudy he has to complete a series of tests before Rudy tells Vince the ruby's in the Arctic.
He meets up with Howard in the Arctic after an Arctic creature gives Vince the ruby and they head back to save the shaman Naboo. The scenario is similar to the Tundra episode of the boosh in series one but lot's of VERY funny and improvised material in between of course.
At the end of the Boosh live, they all leave Howard on stage alone with a present as they've all gone out for a drink, and who better to come bursting out of the box but Old Gregg (Noel Fielding) himself who of course is mad about Howard, the two burst into everyone's favourite boosh song 'Love Games'
The Mighty Boosh live is probably the funniest on stage thing yet, Future Sailors included in that one too! You can't beat a bit of Julian Barratt in sexy underwear or Noel Fielding wearing something so short, everything almost hangs out! (Referring to Future Sailor's Sunflash) and my twitter followers seem to agree!
@MissDarkness2 says 'I love Boosh Live.. Future Sailors tour, not as good.' @Shreweyes says 'Is that a trick question? It's completely genius, probably my favourite' and @Monkeey_Edwards tells the Jellyfox 'It is absolutely glorious! By the end I am crying with laughter. It is probably one of the best comedy tours ever' and too right it is!
The Mighty Boosh live is a treat for the eyeballs and if you haven't seen it yet, stop wasting your time reading other peoples thoughts and watch it for yourself! You're really missing out if you don't watch it.

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy- episode 4: Phone cake

This episode of Luxury Comedy is probably one of my favourites, in all honesty, I mean they get better EVERY week. In this episode of Luxury Comedy, you've got your usual: Noel, Dolly, Andy Warhol and Smooth but you've also got Fantasy Man whom this week goes looking for the dream tiger but ends up getting beaten up by a chav, Tony Reason talks about the time he worked with Bon Jovi, Ice Cream Eyes who gets blamed again by the City Gent, Roy Circles talks about why he was banned from Christmas with his family, Secret Pete who has a new game show on channel boomboom and gets Noel involved, Joey Ramone goes to the beach with his mother and the aliens who come down to earth and invade someones garden, one of the aliens falls in love with a garden decoration deer creature.
In this episode Smooth pranks Noel by replacing their phone with a cake so when the phone rings it crumbles in Noel's hand, so they play the same prank on Andy Warhol. Smooth and Dolly go to Judo but switch to Karate with all them small sketches in between. This episode wasn't as weird as the previous ones but it was more surreal, in a good way of course. My favourite character changes every week and this week it'll have to be Mike Fielding as the alien!
The way the scenes were planned out was amazing too! It was like artwork, Luxury Comedy is basically art interpreted in a comedy way, which is why I love it! Comedy and art go together but not many people understand this. Comedy is and always has been visual art, the way people move when they're talking and such, Luxury Comedy just brought this to a whole new level!
On twitter @Ally_Boombox says 'It's magic! It's like visiting a fantasy word every time you watch it' and Ally, I agree, it's like you've entered Noel Fielding's brain! It's fantastical. Some people seemed pretty upest when Fantasy man got beaten up for example @Nell_Avenal says 'Poor Fantasy Man, I almost cried' I think Fantasy Man has won everyone's heart as he's so simple but then she also says 'It was great do you not agree? At first I was shocked, but then I remembered, that it is Noel'- too true! Noels mind is pretty amazing! @MadcapChild tells the Jellyfox 'Not for the easily confused, hilarious and has a childish charm' and @Beth_Noir11 says 'I think it gets better every week, Noel is a genius for coming up with this magic.'
I really recommend this episode as it's so funny, the others are funny too, but this one- in my opinion- was the funniest one yet! I can't WAIT to see what Noel gives us next week! If you missed this weeks Luxury Comedy click here (for UK viewers only)

Thursday, 16 February 2012

Tomorrow!

Tomorrow there WILL be a review of Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy- episode 4 Phone Cake. Noel has announced that Roy Circles and Fantasy man are both back in this episode! So look forward to my review on this tomorrow! (:

Requested- Sweet Review!

James Pilkington's 'Sweet' is a short film about a man named Pete Sweet's love life. Pete is played by none other than Noel Fielding and he's constantly narrating the film as it goes along. His best friend is called Stitch played by Julian Barratt and they're on a night out with Dave (Toby Walton) who has brought his imaginary sister, Poppy, along with him. Her and Pete end up falling in love even though she's imaginary. Pete Describes Poppy as short dumpy and ginger, whereas his 'type' is tall, skinny and brunette.
There is a LOT of sex scenes in Sweet, so not appropriate for younger Noel Fielding fans, anyway, one day out of the blue Poppy tells Pete that she's pregnant causing Pete to overreact so Poppy puts their sex life 'on hold' which annoys Pete. He tries masturbating and phone sex but none of that worked, until he met Daisy. Pete then starts seeing Daisy behind Poppy's back whilst Poppy was still ignoring him.
Poppy then comes clean to Pete by telling him she only told him she was pregnant to see how he'd react, but he continued with the affair anyway.
Stitch, his so called best friend, tells Daisy about the affair causing Pete, Poppy and Daisy to have a 3 way relationship, until Daisy runs away with Poppy, causing Pete to have a fight with Stitch but in the end, Pete and Stitch become lovers.
For a 10 minute film this surely packs a lot in about Pete's life, people who are fans of Noel Fielding adore this film as there's a lot of clips where Noel is almost naked. You dirty Perverts you. This film is a funny film as well as it's about a guy with an imaginary girlfriend- in real life if you saw a guy talking to thin air, you'd think they were mad, which is why this films so fun.
This review was requested by an anonymous source on my tumblr and they sort of gave me their opinion on it, they said: 'I'm not too sure what I thought about Pete Sweet, all I know is that at the end of it, I was slightly turned on' and as always, my twitter followers have given me their opinion on the film. @Steeeelxox says 'hilarious, would've been better if Noel was completely naked though' which made me laugh and @MarrylaNuit tells me 'It's one of the best things ever... Does that make me a 'parfart'' I'm afraid it does.
Sweet is a good film, it's just not a good film for families to sit down and watch together, I recommend it, but only if you're 13+ because any younger, would just be... Well watch it and judge for yourself!

Requests and such

If there is ANYTHING at all you'd like me to review, ask me in my tumblr ask box iaskedforquavers.tumblr.com/ask or email me, if you want my email, see other posts or ask me again in my tumblr ask box.
I do ask you to give me your opinions on things via facebook and twitter as well so if you have ANY opinions based on anything I review, please feel free to give me them- bad ones and good ones, I don't mind. :)
Also, if there is anyone you'd like me to try and interview, ask me, again, tumblr ask box, I say try as I don't know whether I would be able to interview them or not, but it's always worth a try and I will try for my blog readers.
I love you all (:

Sue Denim- RiD and Sue Denim solo project interview- Enjoy

Sue Denim, of all girl indie-dance-electro-chanson-rock trio Robots In Disguise, has recorded her debut solo album. It's called And The Unicorn, and features songs about bikes, books, boys and unicorns. There are vague plans to release it in May - watch this space!
Photograph by: Emli Bendixon- http://emli.co.uk/2012/01/sue-denim/

So I asked Sue Denim a few questions which are musically based. Sue is singer and bassist for RiD and she's also working on her new solo project which is self titled. Enjoy.

1. What made you so interested in singing and bass?
I have loved singing since I was a kid, but I didn't start playing the bass until I joined my first band, a year before Robots In Disguise started.

2. Who would you say musically your main influences are and why?
Musically, my influences are all over the place. I love everything and nothing! I am influenced by my  family, my dad played folk guitar and ran the local folk club and sang folk songs all the time, then I also loved The Beatles (half my family are from Liverpool, it made sense), pop music, and later indie and dance... at the moment I am listening to a lot of Absolute 80s radio!!!!

This is a tough question but one that we are ALWAYS asked!

In fact, could you just read a load of interviews and collate the answer from them? If you would!

3. When did you and Dee decide to make the band ‘Robots in disguise’?

Me and Dee were in an all-girl 4 piece garage rock band very briefly in 1999 before splitting off from that to form Robots In Disguise which we launched into the universe in 2000.

4. If you weren’t a singer/bassist what would you’ve been instead?

If I weren't a singer/bassist, I'd be a singer/guitarist/one-woman-band, and if not that, I would be a painter, and if not that, I would like to be a bird of paradise.

5. Where’s your favourite place to play in Europe?

I love playing in Istanbul - the crowds are great.. but most of all, they have HAMMAMS!

6. What’s your favourite genre of music?

I don't have a favourite genre of music but I could make one up for you... how about Hammam-rock?

I wish Sue good luck for her solo project, to hear one on her songs click the following link: http://soundcloud.com/thevelvetonion/sue-the-unicorn-brewster

Chris Brown- why are we forgiving him?!

Chris Brown, aged 22 writes rap and hip hop songs for the younger generation such as Yeah x3 and with you, however in 2008 he was arrested for domestic abuse on ex girlfriend Rihanna, which caused him to get a LOT of bad press which he deserved in all honesty. In 2009 he posted a two minute apology to Rihanna and his fans on his official youtube channel and now he's suddenly loved again by the nation.
Correct me if I'm wrong but let's say some random citizen was in the paper for abusing their wife/girlfriend/husband or boyfriend they'd get lots of hate all over the world which quite frankly is unfair. Why do we treat celebrities as if they're superior to normal humans, they are NOT.
Chris Brown's fan girls say 'I'd happily let Chris Brown beat me up'- so hang on, if your boyfriend had beaten you, you'd leave him but if you were dating Chris Brown and he'd beaten you, you'd stay, I don't see the logic here.
In 2011 he had an interview on Good morning America and the interviewer asked Brown about Rihanna causing him to become violent in the dressing room during a commercial break. Last night he tweeted 'HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY now! That's the ultimate FUCK OFF!' I'm sorry Chris Brown but how is you winning a Grammy a 'fuck off' and your grammer? For Christ sake you're 22 years old, and you've got fans who could be 10 years old, for them to read this... It's disgraceful and then he talks about rappers doing drugs?
As talented as he may be (I personally disagree with this but it's what you like) it doesn't stop him from being a right dickhead, he beats up woman and that's all I see him as, a woman beater.

Gemma Hill- RiD drummer interview, enjoy

Hello Gemma,  I just wanted to ask you a couple of questions regarding your music playing, RiD and how you got into drumming

1. What made you so interested in drumming?

I can't really remember! I started playing the violin when I was 4 and I was really into pop music from that age. When I was a few years older my mum showed me a list of instruments I could learn at school and the drums seemed like a good idea. I remember thinking that it would be cool because there weren't any others girls in my school who played them. I was really aware of Evelyn Glennie (percussionist) and I loved The Bangles so maybe it just seemed like a fun thing to do that was a bit unusual.

2. Who would you say musically your main influences are and why?

My influences are really wide. I've always mainly loved pop, rock and Motown but I grew up playing percussion for orchestras, brass bands, steel bands and pretty much anything that came along. Because music is my job I have to play with all kinds of different styles of music and not be opposed to any of them (I draw the line at metal though!) and so I'm influenced heavily by whoever I'm working with at the time. When I was growing up I loved Michael Jackson, Madonna, Kylie and Stevie Wonder.

3. You drum for Robots in Disguise, do you drum for any other bands as well or just RiD?

I'm very fortunate to play drums as my job so I work with lots of people at the same time and I'm always auditioning or on the look out for anyone else who might need a drummer! I'm currently playing for RiD, a new artist in London called Any O'Neill, a 4 part vocal harmony and ukelele rock covers band called The Tourettes and a stunningly brilliant folk artist from Wiltshire called Matthew Kilford. In the last few months I've done TV work for Cher Lloyd, Cee Lo Green, and Frankie Cocozza, Janet Devlin and Marcus Collins on X Factor and I'm waiting to hear back from a big pop audition I went for yesterday so fingers crossed... I've got more info about bands I've worked with at www.gemmadrums.com.

4. If you weren't a professional drummer what would you of like to have been instead?

I used to want to be a journalist...I get to do that as well now because I do interviews with famous drummers for a UK drum website, www.mikedolbear.com. Then I wanted to be a drum teacher and now I do that too! I often think it would be really fun to be a make up artist for TV and films. The people who do that are amazing and they must meet all sorts of people every day!

5. What other instruments can you play or would be interested in playing?

I play orchestral percussion (xylophone, timpani and all the bits and bobs that go along with that), I sing and I've just started learning bass guitar. I'd love to be able to sit at a piano and play tunes for people to sing to but I just can't get it. I find it hard practising something new because I feel guilty that I should be spending the time on my drums!

6. what's your favourite country to play in Europe?

Anywhere that is warm and sunny and has good food! With RiD I've played in Istanbul 3 times now and I love it there; it has beautiful buildings, the people are really welcoming and we like spending time in the hammam (Turkish bath) and being completely relaxed. We played in Montalcino in Italy last year and that was gorgeous as well. So is the South of France... I can't choose one place! I'm extremely lucky to go to places that I would probably not visit if it wasn't for the work that I do so every trip is special in it's own way.

 7. What's your favourite genre of music?

I love motown - the history behind the genre is fascinating and the musicians involved in it had something really special, plus the music is catchy and you can sing/dance/clap to it. If I'm feeling a bit under the weather I listen to '(Love is like a) heat wave' by Martha Reeves and The Vandellas and everything is ok again!

I hope you enjoy reading this interview with drummer Gemma Hills, so like she said, go to www.gemmadrums.com for more information about her work (:

Jedward are underrated

Jedward, two Irish twins named John and Edward (if that wasn't obvious) aged 20 years old came 6th in xfactor 2009 yet they're bigger than the 2009 winner Joe Mcelderry so that's clearly saying something. Jedward come from Dublin- northern Ireland and have covered some songs like 'I want candy' and 'all the small things' they also sang for Ireland in Eurovision and got Ireland the BEST score they've had since 2000, they also came 8th all together, which was pretty amazing and they've also entered Eurovision 2012!
Jedward get a lot of hate because they're not the normalist of bands but that's what makes them so amazing! The hair, the bright outfits they wear and the way they're always so hyper and happy. I think that's why people don't like Jedward because they're too hyper for people to handle but I think Jedward have something, they've DEFIANTLY got the entertainment spirit which is what people need nowadays.
Jedward are also known for their huge hair- which I might add is pretty amazing. They're just two young boys looking to entertain and sing for people, what's so bad about that? They've got more talent than Justin Bieber and 1 direction. Jedward are so underrated and judged because they enjoy having fun, why? Is this really what the worlds came to? Jedward are talented and fun, they deserve the credit 1D and Bieber get.

The thing you've all been waiting for- Lliana Bird interview

I emailed Lliana Bird (Xfm DJ) and asked her a few simple questions about Radio, her favourite artists/songs, and how YOU can get into radio... Enjoy. (:

Hey Birdy, just a few simple questions about being your job and how people can
become a Radio DJ if they wish (:

 1. What made you aspire to be a Radio DJ and what motivated you to achieve this?

i've always been a massive music lover and i had a job for a while doing PR for bands but i really hated the work and didn't like not having an actual product of my own. I wanted a job where I could create something that others could enjoy and i've always been a big talker, so radio seemed the perfect option.

2. Who would you say your main influences are and why?

Radio wise it would have to be Lauren Laverne - when I first started on work experience I did spent some time with her on her breakfast show and i was blown away by how quick witted, savvy, funny and musically clued up she was. She made me realise that its not just men who can get the big jobs in radio, or who are allowed to express their personalities on air. A lot of women in radio are there as sidekicks to the main male presenter and tend to giggle a lot and make the men look good. Lauren was nothing like that, and it was incredibly inspiring for me.

I have a lot of other influences in the music, film and art worlds but that would take pages to answer!

3. What are your top 3 songs and who are your top three artists?

I hate this...because it really is sophie's choice!
I would definitely have to include Syd Barrett 'Terrapin', Henry Mancini 'Moon River', Black Lips 'Dirty Hands' and Camille Saint-Saens 'Aquarium' from Carnival of The Animals.

Artists....aaahhh....so so hard... i couldn't pick just 3 when xfm asked me, this was the list i sent them: The Velvet Underground, Peggy Lee, Black Lips, Henry Mancini, The Kills, Francoise Hardy, Blur, Lucy Pearl, Patti Smith, Buddy Holly, Camille Saint-Saens, Love, Kevin Ayers, Tame Impala, Syd Barrett, Medelssohn, Meat Puppets, The Flaming Lips, Joni Mitchell

4. If you weren't a radio DJ what would you've been instead?

Well i already do a few other things - I act in theatre productions as much as i can, i trained as a silversmith so i make jewellery as well, and I produce plays when I can....(oh dear, I'm clearly a total jack of all trades, master of none! haha ) but one thing I hope to do in the future is train as a psychotherapist. I've done a bit of training already but hopefully i can continue and get my doctorate one day.

5. Name someone you'd love to interview on your show but haven't been given the chance yet and why?

Syd Barrett, he was an incredible poet, a true genius, he wrote my favourite lyric of all time, but sadly that could never happen now.

6. Who's been your favourite guest(s) so far and why?

I interviewed Daft Punk once (without their helmets on!) and they so rarely give interviews, and so rarely without covering up their faces, and I spent a few hours with them just talking about everything and anything. That was a really special experience and they were incredibly interesting and intelligent guys as well which always helps! Iggy was amazing as well, he's just such a huge life force.

7. What advice/tips would you give to those who'd love to be in your shoes one day?

Work experience, work experience, work experience! You can always get experience on community radio stations, hospital radio and school/ uni radio. And volunteer to make tea at a station you love and then work your way up slowly. If you're helpful and hard working and good company to be around you will eventually get noticed and rewarded for your time. And listen to loads of music, and radio DJs you admire. Think about the style of DJing you like and listen to what they actually say, how they construct their links. The best Djs will make you feel they are just having a casual conversation with you in the same room without any effort at all but usually a lot of thought and work goes into getting that style it so have a listen to what they are really doing...

Hope that helps! lotsa love, birdy xxx

So guys, I hope this has informed and entertained your eyeballs. It's surely entertained mine! You can tune in to Lliana Bird's radio show every Saturday from 3-7 and every Sunday from 3-6. (:

1 Direction- westlife wannabes?

Everyones heard of Westlife being the typical boyband image so are 1 direction following in their footsteps with the corny love songs and the 'pretty boy' hair do. They came third in xfactor  2010 and it was the fangirls/fandom named the 'directioners' which got them their fame today.
The boy band consists 5 18-20 year old boys, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Thomlinson. When they announced tour dates the tickets sold out within 10 seconds, showing you how competitive the 1D fandom is where as with other fandoms you don't get that competition. Also I thought a group was meant to be equal? Why do Harry, Liam and Louis get the most solo parts? What about Zayn and Naill. It's simply not fair.
The only reason these boys are as big as they are now is because of their 'pretty boy' image with the chinos and the long/curly type hair and then you get bands like Robots in disguise (female band, I know but making the same point I think) who work their tiny little arses off and are barely noticed. Is this seriously what the music business has come down to? Pretty boys and pimped up tangoed girls. That's not the music I once knew.
My helpful twitter followers have even bothered to help me with this review. @MrsMcintyre_x says 'they're trying too hard. They annoy me and I'm sick of them' and @Scribblingchild just says 'shit' which pretty much sums them up, if I'm being honest.

Just because me doing this made me feel cool

All Luxury Comedy References in case you wanted to know

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy- episode 3 King Tutta

In this episode of Luxury Comedy you get to meet loads of new characters. Roy Circles is back with Noel, Dolly, Smooth and Andy Warhol and everyone's favourite, Daddy Push is back and as we know Daddy push is a man of few words but one of his favourite words is 'bumbag' as we see in this episode.
This week you get to meet Noels personal favourite character Fantasy man- he goes on a quest which Big Chief Woolabum Boomalackaway, to stitch up a hole which has been made in the internet in between youtube and youporn. Joey Ramone- he was a member of the Ramones, in LC he's a playdough character who gets both his legs chopped off. Roy Circles- this week he tells everyone how he got over his wifes death. City Gent- he blames Ice cream eyes for something which Ice cream eyes claims not to have done. Ice cream eyes- he has ice cream for eyes, obviously and he passes the blame onto Tony Coins. Tony Coins- he's made entirely out of coins and he passes the blame onto Adam Printout. Adam Printout- a print out of someones work and he passes the blame to Eugene secret note passed under the door- He's basically a random note who just seems to babble and finally King Tutta- a mountain that tuts and it really annoys Noel.
Dolly falls in love with a security hat this week and Noel gets angry because someones been stealing his fab lollies and because King Tutta is tutting at everything. Daddy push shows us one of his favourite words in the style of cooking and Fantasy man gets arrested. Another normal day in Noel Fielding's head I assume.
Honestly, my favourite character has to be Sgt. Raymond Boombox and his gash (appeared in episode 1 Peles cup) and I really wanted to see him this week but nevertheless the episode was FANTASTIC. I can totally see why Noels favourite character is fantasy man, I think he's meant to remind us about our childhood and our imagination. again.
People on twitter have once again enlightened the Jellyfox with their opinions @Scribblingchild says 'Brilliant! Ice cream eyes was amazing! Loved it!' and @Joolapalooza says 'completely stupid but it made me laugh out loud, my favourite so far- Loved Dolly to pieces, loved the mountains, loved it all.' Very positive feedback once again!
In this episode Lliana Bird plays one of the pornstars which try to fight fantasy man too, however she's only in it for a millisecond so look out for her! Overall guys Noel done a fantastic job creating Luxury Comedy and I will be writing a Luxury Comedy review EVERY friday so if you want any of your comments/opinions in there tweet me @iamthejellyfox.

Justin Bieber- review

Justin Bieber, teen heartthrob, amazing singer and dating 19 year old Selena Gomez, although he is not a teen heartthrob and he is not an amazing singer. His songs are all about love yet he's 17 years old, he has NEVER been in love, yeah, he has a girlfriend and everything but you can't of felt love at that age. No offence to anyone who claims to have been in love with anyone 17 years and younger.
Justin Bieber has managed to scrape 2 albums and one is due to come out this year called 'believe' now his fandom call themselves 'beliebers' because they believe in Justin, I'm sorry, but how can you believe in anyone who uses the word 'shawty' and sings like a nine year old girl. Rumors have it he's even taking pills to make sure that when he does hit puberty his voice stays the same pitch.
No offence to Selena Gomez here because I think she can do way better than Justin Bieber and go for someone more her age, she's pretty and talented- feel free to disagree, but at least she's better than her boyfriend. The film 'Never say Never' which belieber fans 'swoon' over is just about his life and how he became a famous singer, who'd want to watch that besides 8 year old fangirls who've never heard of the word 'classic'
Justin Bieber is a disgrace to music. Whatever happened to David Bowie, Gary Numan, Or Alice Cooper? The greats. The majority of Bieber fans won't know who they are because they listen to Bieber which is actually a disappointment to music, where did you go music? Why did you let Bieber destroy you? Is what I ask everyday!
Twitter followers have again enlightened me with their opinion of the talentless pop singer; @Nell_Avenal said 'I hate this little bitch! Or Virgin...' @Rubberband_girl exclaims 'I'd rather bury myself in quicksand than listen to Justin Bieber' and my personal favourite comes from @stoopidarseJess and she says 'She's an untalented, ugly little shit that should be taken out and shot for the inhumanities she has put my ears through.' So there you have it.
There maybe 15million beliebers in the world, but there are still 6 billion nine hundered and eighty five million of us who aren't beliebers and still know the true value of music.

Tonight/tomorrow

There will be a LuxCom review up tomorrow morning, maybe later on tonight depending on how tired I am, if you wish to give me suggestions on what I should review feel free to tweet me @iamthejellyfox, facebook me facebook.com/iamthejellyfox, tumblr me iaskedforquavers.tumblr.com or email me jazzehxd@live.co.uk.
Please tell your friends, LuxCom fans and boosh fans to come read my blog (: tonight I will be slating Justin Bieber and how much of a girl he looks. (:

Noel Fielding- the Review

Noel Fielding, comedian and artist which many girls swoon over and aspire to be. He's co-founder of The Mighty Boosh along with comedian Julian Barratt, brother Mike Fielding and close friend/photographer Dave Brown. He's also the creature of Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy and is in a band with close friend and Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno.
The comedian aged 38 has won several awards- the majority of them are mighty boosh based but he's also won the 2008 NME sexiest man award and 2 best dressed awards again in 2008! Fielding has finally announced and confirmed that the boosh movie is a go! To find out more click here. Fielding does not class himself as an actor as he's just the same on TV as he is in person.
Noel is a very outgoing and confident man, his fashion sense is retro and 2nd to none, he's always seen wearing Chelsea boots (which I might add are VERY comfortable, good choice Fielding). He has several fanbases such as: Booshlrs, Booshies, Modwolves, Noelettes and of course the Fieldmice which is really cute.
Lately Fielding has been doing signings for his new art book 'Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton' which was named by Lliana Bird (Noels radio DJ girlfriend). The book features his artwork from the past 5 years. There are a few stories and a few very rude paintings but you cannot deny the beauty which you can buy from £9.99 if you wish to purchase click this link http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/noel+fielding/the+scribblings+of+a+madcap+shambleton/8564462/
People on twitter have also gave positive feedback on Noel! @MarrenNo5 tells the Jellyfox 'he is the absolute sex. (With talent on the side!) @EmilyLovesBowie says 'inspiring, colourful and all round amazing man' and @StoopidArseJess says 'firstly he's an amazing stand up comedian, he's a brilliant actor and seems genuinely lovely! Oh yeah he's also insanely hot!' One Russian fan @Teapot_Cannon says 'KING HEARTED NOEL! My hero'
The thing about Noel is, he doesn't see this, he doesn't see why his fans love him when they should be loving idols like David Bowie and Kurt Cobain- which are both amazing by the way! Noel thinks so lowly of himself and I say we give him a lot of love! If you don't know who he is click here to watch Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy on 4oD and look out for NFLC on E4 every Thursday at 10pm

The Mighty Boosh- The Nightmare of Milky Joe

In this episode of the Mighty Boosh Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) plan to travel to America to be on a show named 'Pie face Showcase' and because Howard is scared of flying they go by boat. Vince cuts the Captain's hair on the boat making the Captain angry and kicking them off the boat so they're shipwrecked on an island which grows coconuts that they eat
On the island they fall out and build separate huts so Howard befriends a coconut called Milky Joe causing Vince to get jealous so he makes two coconut girls- Ruby and Precious. Vince dates ruby and Howard dates Precious, but Precious beats Howard up causing him to accidentally kill her. After Milky Joe spots this, he phones the 'cocopolice' and Howard and Vince end up in Coconut court. They are used as attractions at a coconut shy ran by the coconut hitcher. At this point Howard and Vince are splashed with water by a sailor whom awakens them from a rancid, coconut-induced nightmare or 'coco-loco' as the sailor calls it. They return home to watch 'Pie face showcase' and to Howard and Vince's horror 'Milky Joe and the coconuts' are headlining the show.
A lot of puppetry had to be used for this episode and can I just say they used it VERY well! The way the puppets moved around was almost realistic, in my own opinion this has to be the most trippy episode of The Mighty Boosh. No one besides Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding would come up with an idea involving coconuts arresting them for accidentally killing another coconut! It's genuis.
My twitter followers have again enlightened me with their opinions @stoopidarsejess says 'Brilliant... Love the puppetry and the plot as a whole!' @Rubberband_girl says 'Milky Joe is a wonderful coconut who has changed my life' @RebeccaDionne_ quotes 'great episode. Why people don't resort to doing stuff like that on 'I'm a celeb and castaway I'll never know' and lastly @PleaItDidRelate says 'I love how one of the coconuts is called Serge!! Too cute. Really clever episode.'
So as you can see, my twitter followers love it so it's been highly recommended, so go watch it and enjoy!

Never mind the Buzzcocks- Series 25 Ep 9

In this NMTB episode Tinie Tempah hosts, with Pixie Lott and Joey Page on Noel Fielding's team and Example and Chris Ramsey on Phils team, what could go wrong? In this episode Tinie Tempah explains his lyric 'I've been to Southampton but I've never been to Scunthorpe' and on the celebrity lineup when Phil's team try to guess which one of the 5 people was Adam Ant's trumpeter, the Buzzcocks producers also bring the mayor of Scunthorpe which everyone enjoys, Joey even offers to invite him to an after party at his house 'but only in the conservatory as his mums got work in the curtain shop the next morning' which makes the audience laugh.
If you've never heard of Joey Page I recommend that you go find a show near you and stare at awe at this man as he is hilarious and eccentric- everything weird mixed into one man is the best way to describe him and he loves to wear hats. Pixie Lott was also quite entertaining too as she broke her Tinie Tempah mask and stole Noels, kissed one of the celebrity lineup members and admitted that she liked the band 'one true voice' when they were on 'Popstars: the rivals.'
Chris Ramsey made everyone giggle by saying to the mayor of Scunthorpe in the lineup ''ere mate, you don't make the rules here' and the mayor responds to that with 'you don't talk to the mayor like that.' Overall this is a VERY funny episode of NMTB and if you haven't seen it, youtube it.

The mighty boosh- the legend of old gregg

In this episode of the Mighty Boosh Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) have found themselves having a creative block so their shaman friend Naboolio (Mike Fielding) suggest that they get out of town for a few days, so they go to a village called Black Lake and meet Ramsey who advises them to go fishing on black lake to get their creative streak back up. Vince then leaves Howard on the lake after catching loads of fish to go back to the pub which is where he learns about Old Gregg- a scaly manfish who has a 'downstairs mixup he refers to as his 'mangina'.
Howard then catches Old gregg and he takes Howard to his underwater cave. Vince then phones Naboo telling him Howard's in trouble and they need to come save him, when having a meal with Howard, Old Gregg reveals to Howard how he got 'the funk' in his possession. Whilst Gregg is preoccupied, Vince, Naboo and Bollo show up in Naboo's submarine and Howard steals the funk and they head back to the town of black lake. They leave the village and plan on bringing the funk back to London.
This episode of 'The Mighty Boosh' seems to be the one that everyone knows about and that everyone quotes because it's that funny. Two of the most memorable quotes are 'I've got a mangina' and 'Do you love me?' People enjoy quoting these in Old Greggs voice- you'll understand if you watch it.
My twitter followers have given me their opinion on The Legend of Old Gregg episode. @Tiger_spider says 'brilliant song that never fails to make me laugh and the old gregg animation is genius! Overall, fucking amazing' and a facebook user CourtneyCatastrophe Barbara Bob says 'mangina. That is all' so it's had very positive feedback and I'd recommend this to Noel Fielding fans, buzzcock watcher and people who like surreal and abnormal things.

Bunny and the Bull- film review

Bunny and the Bull is a road film set entirely in Stephen Turnbull's (Edward Hogg) house- he hasn't left his house in a year, when some mice cause havoc on his daily routine he finds his mind going back to a disastrous trip around Europe he had with his fried Bunny (Simon Farnaby) and as the story goes on, the more real it is for Stephen. He goes back to when he was first going to tell Melanie how he finally felt about her but she put him in the friends zone so Bunny helps make him happy again by taking him on a road trip around Europe, they gamble on a horse and win £2,500 to pay for the trip. Along the way they meet some very interesting characters, Atilla (Julian Barratt) a dog loving tramp, Javier (Noel Fielding) an alcoholic ex matador, a dull tour guide (Richard Ayoade) and Eloisa (Veronica Echegui) a superstitious waitress with whom Bunny and Stephen start a relationship with. Later on in the film Bunny tries on a matador suit which he wasn't allowed to touch, and lost it gambling with a gypsy so the two friends argue causing Bunny to go fight an actual bull causing his death.
Since then Stephen has never left the house. A hallucination of Bunny tells him to go ring Eloisa so he gives her a call and at the end of the film he leaves his house for the first time in a year.
The way director Paul King has made this film is actually remarkable. The mise en scene is beautiful, the way the props have been made and the way the actors really get into the film works well together. No one has ever seen a house made out of milktrays before and Paul King done the impossible! It's amazing.
Fleurnoire11 on twitter says 'it's heartbreaking, but it's a truly wonderful and brilliant film. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to any boosh fan' so if you are a boosh fan, this has been recommended for you, it's an amazing an eccentric film that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

The Mighty Boosh- Future Sailors tour

The Mighty Boosh future sailors tour is basically the Boosh on tour with a lot more music and it's more unprofessional than if they were filming (in a good way). They interact with the audience and it's so full of life- You've got the 5 basic characters- Howard (Julian Barratt), Vince (Noel Fielding), Naboo (Mike Fielding), Bollo (Dave Brown) and Bob Fossil (Rich Fulcher) but on this tour they bring a few special guests like the moon, the Hitcher, Tony Harrison and the crack fox and that's only in the first half!
In the second half Howard does a very 'serious' play about pollution but it's taken over by Vince and Bob Fossil playing two very unusual and funny characters- Sunflash and Booblay two futuristic freaks from the planet camden and the whole play has been an advertisement for one of Vince's favourite fashion designers Jean Claude Jaquettie. At the end of this they bring out the Boosh band who are all dressed up like killer nanas.
People kept wondering 'how can they do the boosh live? There's too much animation, it's too surreal to be on a stage' etc. but it happened and it was like a piece of art from a rainbow! Barratt and Fielding put so much into making this happen for their fans. There was a lot of music, a lot of jokes and a lot of surreal and weird stories! Fantastic.
One of my facebook friends Bethany Lucas says that the future sailors tour was 'AMAZING!' and twitter user @littlej_94 says 'the better of the two [live shows], although I do like how the first one had more of a story... I also love sunflash and the concert at the end' It's a shame that Barratt and Fielding won't be working together for a little while as they're both doing separate things but we hope to see more Boosh in the near future, maybe a Boosh film? Who knows.

Robots in disguise- Band review

Robots in disguise are a female electropunk band formed in 2000 made up of three female musicians. Dee Plume- Vocals and guitar, Sue Denim- Vocals and bass and Gemma Hill- drums. They currently have 3 albums and have recently played a gig in Istanbul. They were recording a fourth album but unfortunately ran out of money to complete it, late 2009 which I was very sad to hear about.
Robots in disguise or RiD as some people call them are a very talented band which aren't very well known, quite a shame really for 3 very talented girls who don't get the recognition they deserve and then you get Beyonce and Rihanna doing pretty much the same genre- nothing new.  (Not slating Beyonce or Rihanna, just stating a fact). The world needs to stop being so close minded when it comes to music, change is good, being different is good!
Sue Denim has started her own solo project- Sue and the Unicorn and she's released an amazing song called Brewster McCloud to listen to it click this link: http://soundcloud.com/thevelvetonion/sue-the-unicorn-brewster I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
Dee Plume also has her own solo project- psycho Delia, she DJ's around London for those of you who enjoy dancing and live in London, if you hear about Dee doing a gig you should defiantly go! Gemma Hill also has her own website where she teaches people how to drum and you can click here to find out more information.
I asked my twitter followers what they think and @Emilylovesbowie says 'They are the mother fudging electro girls that complete me' and I have to agree with her!
I'd love to hear about more Robot in Disguise gigs around the UK and I hope they get back on their feet and into the studio soon!

Coming soon

Soon we have an interview with XFM DJ Lliana bird who's going to be talking to me, the Jellyfox, about being a Radio DJ, what she'd be if she wasn't a radio DJ, and some tips on how YOU can pursue a career in radio- look forward to it my glamour pusses

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy- Episode 2: The Jellyfox

This episode of Luxury Comedy was way more extreme than episode one, but in an amazing, eccentric way that only few may understand. This week we saw quite Obviously Noel, Dolly, Andy Warhol and Smooth. This week we meet a range of new characters such as Lysergic Casserole- a sixties band who took to much LSD and got trapped in their guitar case, Tony Reason- a manta ray music producer who lives in a glass tank below Noel's tree house, Diamond Back- a western singer from Putney who has 1,000 eyes and works in a pet shop, Daddy push- He's back and he's doing origami, he makes a pair of fake breasts, Jeremy beautifulchest- he has a big chest and dances when Noel paints, Doorag- the Audiences sidekick (you don't meet the audience yet) Ghost of a Flea- he seems to sneak out of heaven to party on earth but God seems to tell him off for it, God- he appears in the sky and tells Ghost of a flea off for sneaking to earth.
You also get to meet Little Chrissy, Spoon Snake, McCoy and Claw- They're going to visit the Jellyfox who's a superbeing. Claw can't talk, he just hmmm, McCoy just makes weird sounds with his voice, Spoon snake just says 'am I nothing'
This episode is far weirder than episode 1- believe it or not, I didn't think Noel could get anymore surreal but it's possible! Noel, Dolly, Andy and Smooth, in one scene, all do a German accent which is HILARIOUS! Some of my twitter audience have given me their opinion on this episode. @Booshannahh said 'it blew my mind and I started walking round in circles saying 'eyeball seesaw' over and over' and @LizardPoop said 'it was well made and the colours were very beautiful. The Comedy was extremely surreal but equally brilliant! 10/10!
As you can see, the second episode has had a positive response to my twitter followers, in my opinion we need more comedy like this in dull this dull world.

The Arctic Monkeys- band review

The Arctic Monkeys are an English Indie rock group formed in 2002 from Sheffield the band consists of 4 men Alex Turner- Vocals, lead guitar, Jamie Cook- Lead/Rhythm guitar, Matt Helders- drums and Nick O'Malley- bass guitar. One of this bands most famous songs are 'I bet that you look good on the dancefloor' which is from the album 'Whatever I say I am, that's what I'm not'
This band seem to be in the magazine 'NME' a lot and many people know of their songs. Some people think this band is a 'hipster' band because EVERYONE listens to them- I disagree, yes everyone listens to them, but it's because their music is good. People listen to music if they enjoy it and if them having such a large fanbase makes them hipster then that means food and breathing is 'hipster' too.
Singer Alex Turner doesn't know when they're going to be back in the studio making a new album and he's thinking about taking a break year off to think of new material.
One thing I enjoy most about this band is the way they play, they play their own style- most bands now copy off other bands but these guys don't. I'd recommend this band to anyone who likes Indie rock or Kasabian.

Orphan- the film

The film Orphan (2009) is about an orphaned girl named Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman) she's 9 years old and Russian. She gets adopted by Katie (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard) Coleman who already have a son named Daniel Coleman (Jimmy Bennett) and a daughter named Max Coleman (Aryana Engineer). Max is deaf and Daniel is just coming into his teenaged years and when they adopt Esther all sorts of bad events happen such as a girl named Brenda from her school bullies Esther so at the park Esther gets her revenge and pushes her from the top of a slide causing her to break her ankle, she also kills Sister Abigail who worked at the orphanage she was adopted from... But the story has a twist, Esther's life is built up by years and years of lies, turns out she's a 33 year old woman from a mental asylum in Estonia and she tries to seduce John. Previous times she has done this- passed herself off as a 9 year old to get to her adoptive father and when she's unsuccessful she burns down their house and finds a new place to start.
I love the fact that the film twists, you expect it to twist but you don't expect it to go from a girl being 9 years old to a girl being 33! I think the story line is fantastic and the way the camera angles are used really goes well. It gives it that horror feel. I think if you're into things that twist E.G. Saw I-VII then you'll love Orphan, obviously different storylines but they both twist in remarkable and unexpected ways.

What to expect from The Jellyfox.

On Friday evening around 6pm there will be another Review of Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy. This will be reviewing the second episode- The Jellyfox- which is the painting I got my name from. So be expecting this at around 6pm tomorrow. Tonight I may review 'The Arctic Monkeys' and 'orphan' the film so be looking forward to this tonight by 9 oclock.

Kasabian band review

Kasabian are an English rock band formed in Leicestershire in the late 1990's. The band is made up of 5 men- Tom Meighan- vocalist, Sergio Pizzorno- Lead guitar/backing vocals/keyboard, Chris Edward- bass, Ian Matthews- drums and Jay Mehler- guitar. This band are constantly experimental with their ideas, their new album Velociraptor has quite a lot of electronica mixed in with rock music and teenagers seem to enjoy this.
One main fault I think about Kasabian is when people think of Kasabian, they mainly think of Tom and Sergio and none of the other guys get much credit for what they do in the band- half of Kasabian fans don't take notice of Jay, Chris or Ian and a band should be all 5 not just 2.
I'm not saying Sergio or Tom steal the limelight on purpose of course and they are a very good band, all I'm saying is that people need to start giving Jay, Chris and Ian more attention as without them 3, Sergio and Tom wouldn't be where they are now.
The bands most famous album is 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' known for having songs on it such as 'Fast Fuse' 'Fire' and 'Vlad the Impaler.' I'd recommend this band to almost anyone as their music hasn't really got a set audience, they're a lovable band and if you've never listened to them before, I suggest you do.
