The mighty boosh- series 3 review 'The Power of The Crimp'

Whilst watching the 3rd series of the mighty boosh I instantly picked up the fact it had a darker side to it from the first 2 series of the boosh- not that that's a bad thing, I quite enjoyed the dark, funny feel to it. The setting is in the shop 'Nabootique' which is owned by their shaman friend Naboo the enigma (Mike Fielding) and his familiar Bollo the gorilla (Dave Brown) My favourite episode from the 3rd series has to be 'The Power of The Crimp' as it represents how peoples originality is dying and we should fight for it back. The way Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) reacts to Lance Dior (Tom Meeten) copying him makes annoyed as his look has been stolen, same when Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) discovers is look alike Harold Broom (Simon Farnaby) and they have to use their own way of stealing back their identities.
It's set in Naboo's shop 'The Nabootique' a second hand shop in north London and basically Vince Noir comes in looking all upset and annoyed so his friend Howard Moon tries to cheer him up with a song 'it's what's inside that counts'
Lance Dior is trying to be EXACTLY like Vince which makes Vince really annoyed and Lance tries to steal Howard from him- obviously Howard refuses his offer so he gets Harold Broom to copy Howard. The flighty Zeus (Lance and Harold) start doing everything The Mighty boosh (Vince and Howard) do! Copying their songs and stealing their slot at popular club 'The Velvet Onion' which is ran by American business man Bob Fossil (Rich Fulcher) so Howard and Vince compete with The Flighty Zeus in a crimp off to see who's the real original creators of crimping. Gary Numan features in  this episode too! What's NOT to like?!
Vince Noir is loosely based on N. Fielding and the way Meeten can loosely portray N. Fielding too makes it so real. The Mighty boosh isn't script based, it's mainly improvised to a story line which N. Fielding and Barratt have wrote so the way they make the characters fit in with each other is genius.
This T.V show isn't like anything like TOWIE or Big brother, it's colourful and bright for these bleak times. If you like The Mighty boosh, you should enjoy 'Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy' on E4 at 10pm on thursday.
